Scholarship FAQ
What is it?
The Johnson-Lomaglio Scholarship is a donation-based scholarship to support two Woburn students seeking to further their education, whether it be college or a trade. It is in honor of Noah and Sam's late grandfathers, Howard Johnson and Vincent Lomaglio.
Why start it?
The scholarship was started in light of the difficulties presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. After the 2020 tournament was cancelled, Noah and Sam mutually agreed that sidelining themselves and the cause was not an option. The scholarship was first announced on June 27, 2020.
Where is the money going, and how much?
Half of the donations are going to the scholarship, and the other half are going to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. $3,000 will be split between two scholarship recipients ($1,500 each), and $3,000 will be donated to the AFSP.
